hello, stranger, it's nice to meet you!

I'm squid, a Brazillian artist with a heavy focus on adult art featuring original characters who are usually (but not always) transmasc and/or mlm in a context that is often both grotesque and erotic at the same time.

What I try to do is take the fears that gnaw at me (pregnancy, bugs, sexual violence, transphobia, misogyny, state-approved oppression) and trap them inside lines and words. I inflate them up as big as I can, until they look even more grotesque, up to a point they start looking ridiculous. Yes, they are still scary, but at least that way I get some control back. The point is that it disgusts me. I do not approve. I do not endorse. If I did, I would not need to soothe the anxiety those things cause me by trapping them into art. Horror and erotica overlap because both share the same tiny, vulnerable box in my brain. You are right to find my work disgusting, it is supposed to be. If you find yourself agreeing with the obvious villains, then we are enemies.
